Texas hold'em poker is undoubtedly a highly popular casino game.

In the likely case that you haven’t yet learned about betting saloon wagering, then read on…

To clarify terms, a gaming hall is a building that offers betting. Patrons may gamble at slot-machines or trying out a slew of other gambling pastimes. Betting hall games mainly have logically determined chances governing them that safeguard the company maintains an advantage over the betters.

A number of casino games can get you overly dependent quickly. By way of example, consider the famous 1-armed-bandit, a coin operated instrument with 3+ cylinders that whirl if a crank on its side is wrenched. This contraption consistently renders in accord with a sequence of emblems presented on the screen of the machine. Unfortunately, gaming room games furnish the semblance of remaining in control, thus conning the gaming devotee: the participant can make options, but in reality they do not truly compensate for the gamer’s long-term negative odds. This is caused by the the gaming establishment not paying up the full sum as hoped for. This systematic arrangement is often noticeable in famous casino games like Texas hold’em, dice games, roulette or blackjack. Texas hold’em is really a very fashionable casino game. The gamblers, meticulously guarding their partially guarded hands, wager into a central pot that is given to the last gamester enjoying the best combination of cards. (And yes, the shameless bluffing hand can easily win ..)

money casino

Not far removed from seven card stud, blackjack too is an incredibly trendy casino pastime. A good part of its acclaim is caused by the mix of chance and competence & choice making, as well as a trick called card counting. It is a pretty demanding strategy in which customers are in a position to dramatically skew the chances of the game in their interest both by wagering and tactical opetations corresponding with the hands shown.

Craps is the name of another well-known gambling hall game where punters try to predict the throw of two dice. Gamblers can place stakes on the outcome of of 1 cycle, or on a series of spins of 2 dice. Quite unlike blackjack, there just isn’t any easily available killer system players could play on to boost the odds.

Roulette is an incredibly popular casino based pastime; a croupier rotates a roulette wheel holding a set of thirty-seven (French roulette) or, alternatively 38 (Vegas roulette) independently numbered chambers in which a pellet will come to a stop, which decides on the winner Assuming that a punter bets on any given number which makes it i.e. it is lucky, the promised bounty is 35:1, the original pledge proper will be paid back. Consequently in totality it is increased by a factor of 36.

Please try to be emphatically careful nonetheless as many of those gambling house games of luck should be deemed indisputably habit forming. Many lives have indisputably been spoilt due to reckless gambling and even though it definitely might be enjoyable, do please endeavor to balance your gaming.

The mother of the bride is a very important part of the wedding day. In a traditional ceremony and reception the mother of the bride has certain duties and roles to fulfill. The bride needs to analyse carefully what her mothers role will be, according to each person?s wishes. She will act as a hostess at a formal reception, fulfilling the wishes of her daughter.

The bride and groom may want a traditional wedding, in which the mother of the bride will carry out these roles. If this is the plan, however, than there are many things to plan for and consider. The brides mother will act as the organizer of her daughters wedding. She will organise the guest list, and be in charge of the invitations.

Other duties include: helping choose the flowers for the ceremony and reception, accommodation for guests, acting between the two families, among other duties. She will want to assist her daughter with choosing a dress, and other dress plans, and bridesmaid dresses. She will want to wear a dress or outfit that fits the approval of the bride, in keeping with the style and specific faith of the wedding. In following tradition and custom, the mother may wear and hat and gloves if she so wishes. However it is her choice, as well as the brides choice for all matters of dress.

For the ceremony, the mother of the bride will be escorted to her seat on the left side of the aisle. If there is no adult bridesmaid, the bride will hand her mother the bouquet, and she will take it with her when the bride and groom sign the register. During the recessional, she will walk beside the grooms father down the aisle. This signifies the unification of the two families. She will than continue on with the day into the reception, acting as a formal hostess according to her daughters wishes.

Attracting clients into your coaching practice can be frustrating at times. Sometimes, just when you think you’ve got a new client on the way something happens to seemingly throw a spanner in the works. Have you ever wondered why that is?

You know - the times when you get a good feeling that someone is a great prospect and ‘definitely’ need your coaching service? You sense that they’re going to become a client pretty soon - but they just don’t seem to take the all important next few steps of moving closer to you.

Well, there are 3 key factors that need to be in place before someone will become a client with you. Do you know what they are? Well let’s get straight into the meat of this…

The 3 Key Factors

Here are the 3 key factors that need to be satisfied before someone will become a client in your practice:

 1. Right message - Your prospective clients need to hear the right messages from you to be attracted to the idea of joining your practice in the first place. This is the message you give people when you speak to them (i.e. verbally and non-verbally) and it’s the message that appears in written form such as on a brochure or website for example.

Many coaches simply have lame marketing messages that don’t have the power to gain the attention of the client let alone anything more. Is your marketing message simply not up to scratch?

2. Right person - Your message needs to be targeted to the right person - not just the ubiquitous anybody anywhere variety. The latter approach is almost certain to fall on deaf ears.

A lot of coaches have too broad a message that it is unfocused and contains a plethora of wishy-washy generalities. Is it any wonder that not many people are attracted to take things further with this approach?

3. Right time - This is where the rubber meets the road and where your client attraction powers can come unstuck. You may have the right message going to the right person but if the timing is not right things will not progress as quickly as you’d like them to.

Do bear in mind the timing factor. When you first meet a prospective client the timing may not be right for a number of reasons. This is why it’s so important to have a way of staying in touch with your prospects so that you remain in their mind if things change and the timing becomes right. Then you have a new client. Are you doing this?

Please notice that you only have full control of the first factor, that you can influence the second and have no control over the third one. Hence the frustration. Can you see why things may not be progressing as quickly as you’d like them to?

The amount of money that you pay each month for your mortgage payments will change over the life of your loan. This could be for any number of reasons. For instance they could go up or down due to taxes, whether or not you have an adjustable or fixed rate mortgage, your insurance premiums and perhaps due to some other miscellaneous fees.

The vat majority of escrow analyses are done not at the beginning of the year but at the end of it. This is when you will see taxes getting higher and your insurance premiums going up. When these go up so does your monthly payment for the next year. So if you are smart you will start learning how to save some money so that when the next year does come you will have some cash to put towards these new price increases.

If you have an adjustable rate mortgage you are at risk even more than those with a fixed rate mortgage. With an Arm your cost can change even more because when the market changes so will your mortgage payment. Those with these types of mortgages can end up paying astronomical sums in interest.

As soon as you get approved for an adjustable rate mortgage it is a good idea to start saving some extra money each month in a reserve fund. Save this money for the times when the interest does rise. This fund could mean the different between being able to meet your monthly payments and not being able to meet it.

Some adjustable rate mortgages will even have ways for you to pay in advance. These types of prepayments can go a long way towards easing your monthly payments. These payments are generally reassessed each year and you can also prepay each year. You can do this each year during the 45 days before your next adjustment.

If it is a fixed rate mortgage that you have as opposed to an adjustable rate mortgage then your monthly payments will not be as volatile but they still can change from time to time. You can still prepay but this will not change your monthly payments at all, it will just help you to pay off the principle balance that much sooner.

If you want to lower your monthly payments and you have a fixed rate mortgage you can see if you can stop paying for mortgage insurance. Once you have built up a certain amount of equity in your home then this should not pose a problem and it could save you thousands of dollars each year.

A Woman has several options available to her once she marries. Will she take on her husbands name? Keep her maiden name? Perhaps she’ll add his last name to her own name with a hyphen separating the two. Although it seems quite confusing and complex, it really isn’t. Read up on your name change options and decide for yourself.

* If the Wife Decides to Take Her Husband’s Surname (Nancy Jones becomes Nancy Hill after she marries John Hill). This is a traditional routine embraced by couples globally. Nevertheless, many women prefer to break the tradition of adopting a mans last name, as they find it sexist. Others enjoy having their families share the same surname. If the wife decides to change her name, she must change her name on all legal documents including: drivers license, passport, utilities, and credit cards.

* Wife Decides to Hyphenate The Two Surnames (Nancy Jones becomes Nancy Jones-Hill). This option preserves the woman’s surname, while adding the husband’s last name. It’s very important that the wife always use the hyphenated name. If there are children involved, they too can adopt hyphenated names or keep their own.

* Wife Decides to Use Given Birth Name as Her Middle Name (Nancy Jones becomes Nancy Jones Hill, without any hyphenation. What’s the difference, you ask? Some people find the hyphenation awkward. This way, the maiden name is preserved, but the husbands last name can be added.

* Wife Decides to Keep Her Maiden Name (Nancy Jones remains Nancy Jones). Although this can lead people to believe you are not married, many women prefer to utilize this option. If a woman has been called “Nancy Jones,” her whole life-she may fear change and loss of her own identity. People who call Nancy Hill, unless corrected. Remind these people you are “Nancy Jones” wife of John Hill. Others think of “Mrs. Hill,” as a title and are not offended by the easily made mistake. Others still associate their name with their identity and become annoyed by the commonly made mistake.

* Wife Decides to Take Her Husband’s Name Socially, Yet Keeps Own Surname Professionally (Nancy Jones is Nancy Jones on a professional level, but when she comes home from the office, she’s Nancy Hill) This is a very popular option for a professional woman with a reputation. She can utilize the single surnames for whatever occasion. For instance, if Nancy Smith is a doctor, she will be known as Dr. Smith forever. Meanwhile, she may be known as Mrs. Hill by her children’s teachers.

For a small business a website can have a massive impact on whether that small business thrives or dies out. There are several very important differences between a website built for a large business and a website built for a small business. It’s important that a small business and the website design company who builds the website for that small business are aware of those differences so that the website has the greatest positive impact.

First of all don’t try to look and act like the big boys. If you are a small business please do not plaster your site with platitudes like “family owned since 1642″ or “customer service is our specialty” blah blah. IBM and Coke can get away with having pretty sites that blather on and on using all kinds of corporate jargon but a small business cannot do that. Here’s why…

Big companies are already established brands. They can rest on their laurels now; at least they think they can. A small business website needs to grab the visitor by the throat with some hard hitting headlines and copy and get busy proving its case because before visiting that website it’s likely the visitor has never heard of that small business.

Think of it like a courtroom. The small business is on trial it’s products and services are suspect from the get go. That small business needs to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that it can provide the best value over its competitors. What’s worse is that you only have about 8 seconds from the time the visitor hits the homepage to the time they click the back button to hook them into your sales copy.

The number one difference here is the copy. A small business website needs to be a life support unit for its unique selling proposition or USP not a contestant in this year’s flashy foo foo web design award contest. Win customers not awards. Forget the animation and music and go easy on the images. What a small business needs is a lean, mean conversion machine.

Studies show the visitors don’t even consciously register images until after they have absorbed the copy on the page. Makes sense because what they came for was information not the old receptionist at the desk on the phone pictures that we have seen over and over again. They want to know who the heck you are and what you can do for them and make it snappy!

It’s brutal but that’s the way it works. A small business that knows this and applies this to their website has a huge advantage over those who don’t. So if you are a small business owner and need a website keep this article in mind or if you have an existing website take a look at it and reevaluate it’s effectiveness in light of this information. Small changes can have dramatic effects on sales conversion.

Charles Preston is President of Click Response a website design and marketing firm where you can get small business website design that converts more visitors into sales.

Knolls totaled those scores and gave the employees additional points based on their years of service. For example it would not be illegal to consider criteria for a particular role in a movie that has a disparate impact on age if the part calls for someone of a particular age. In other words the ADEA permits employers to discriminate based on age considering age is legitimately necessary under the circumstances. Thirty of the 18 salaried employees the company laid off were at least 58 years old. The Supreme Court then agreed to hear the case and eventually reversed the Second Circuit and reinstated the jurys finding that Knolls policy unlawfully discriminated because of age. In that case Meacham versus Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory the Supreme Court interpreted a provision of the ADEA that permits an employer to take an adverse employment action against an employee. Twenty-eight of those 46 employees sued under the ADEA claiming Knolls illegally fired them because of their age. In Meacham Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory was planning to lay off a number of employees. The BFOQ defense states that it is not unlawful for an employer to take adverse employment actions otherwise prohibited by the ADEA where age is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the particular business. Specifically the jury found that although the plaintiffs did not prove that Knolls intentionally discriminated against them they did prove that Knolls method of deciding who to lay off disproportionately harmed older workers. The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit initially affirmed the jurys findings but after the United States Supreme Court asked it to reconsider the Second Circuit reversed itself and ruled in favor of Knolls. The Supreme Court has previously recognized that the employer has the burden to establish the BFOQ affirmative defense. In reaching its conclusion that the employer has the burden to prove the reasonable factors other than age defense the Supreme Court looked at another provision of the ADEA the bona fide occupational qualification defense. A lawyer from Haarlem won from a in Fort Pierce Florida Even if the employment action is otherwise prohibited by the ADEA. It then used those totals to decide who to lay off. It has the burden to prove that its decision was based on a reasonable factor other than age. The Supreme Court ruled that if an employer seeks to rely on that defense. The company had its supervisors rate their subordinates based on their performance flexibility and critical skills. As long as the adverse action is based on reasonable factors other than age. At the trial a jury found Knolls had violated the ADEA because its layoff procedure had a disparate impact based on age.

There are two main parts to your business’s financial statement -

The accounting software will produce a Profit and Loss, which shows your day to day income reflected against your expenses and therefore shows what your profit, or loss, is.

The accounting software will also produce a Balance Sheet, which shows your business assets against liabilities and the accumulated earnings of your business over the years.

Lets first look at how these reports are arrived at -

You must first understand, or accept the first main principle of double entry bookkeeping before we start and that is -

For every entry made there must be an equal and opposite entry made somewhere else and when you have finished making your entries they must all add up to zero. Don’t worry most accounting software packages will make most of these day to day entries for you.

Sounds weird - not really. The whole principal is logical and goes back to the days when all books where done manually, because accounting software didn’t exist, and by making all of the entries add up to zero we knew we had correctly entered our numbers. We may not have entered them into the right slot but at least we had created the basis of being on the right track. And even though your accounting software will, in most cases, make most of the entries for you, you must understand the principle behind it.

Even if you enter something in the wrong ’slot’ it is nearly always a simple process to move it where it should be later on.

A Profit and Loss report has five main elements

Income
Cost of Sales
Gross Profit
Expenses
Net Profit (or loss) - sometimes called the Bottom Line

The Net Profit line is also known as The Bottom Line. You sometimes hear the expression that if we did this or that it would go straight to the bottom line. In plain talk what this expression means is that, say for example, we were able to do away with motor expenses in the above Profit and Loss report and incurred no other alternative expense in its place then the $3000.00 motor expenses would go straight to the bottom line and increase our net profit by $3000.00

A balance sheet, in very simplistic terms, has two main elements -

Assets
Liabilities

(please note that assets and liabilities are nearly always broken up into sub sections - typically those that are current - within 1 year - and those that are not current - longer than a year - we are not going into that depth - leave that to your accountant and worry about it when you have mastered everything else)

( Note - the trade debtors account is only money that is owed to us as a result of selling goods on account to customers of ours. Other monies owed to the business such as staff loans etc would be shown separately. The same with Trade Creditors. This is money that we owe to people that we purchase from on an ongoing basis for example - people that we buy goods for resale from, telephone account, petrol account and so on. People that we owe money to on a longer term basis i.e. a bank loan are shown separately)

Regarding the bank account - assuming that your bank account mostly has money in it, and, therefore, it falls under Assets (the money is an asset belonging to your business). If the account is mostly in overdraft then typically it would fall under the Liabilities section (the money is a loan from the bank and a business liability).

If it fluctuates between the two simply pick where it mostly is. It’s not a major issue. Let’s say for example you put it under assets and then it went into overdraft all that would happen is that it would be shown with brackets around it.

Things to regularly check -

(like at least once a month - more when you are starting out and going through the learning curve) -

Your customer’s age trial balance (a list of how much your customers owe you from the receivables module) must always equal the Trade Debtors account in the Ledger.

Logical isn’t it when you think about it. The Receivables module is telling us that the customers owe x amount of money. This amount must be the same as the Ledger is telling us that the customers owe.

Your suppliers age trial balance (a list of how much you owe your suppliers from the Payables module) must always equal the Trade Creditors account in the Ledger

Your Stock Value report from the Products module should always equal the Stock on Hand account in the Ledger

Your bank statement should regularly be reconciled back to the balance that the Bank account shows in the ledger.

Why should you check these balances regularly - because things can go wrong and if you only pick it up several months later you are only making it harder for yourself to find out why they don’t balance. At least if you do it often you may remember if something unusual happened.

If you find something doesn’t balance - find out why as soon as possible and fix it. If you need help get it - ask your accountant, software trainer or some other knowledgeable person

A newcomer to the world of investments in the notion of “Virtual Real Estate Investing“. There are many variations on what this term means, encompassing everything from using the internet to aid in real estate investing efforts to participating in online games such as SecondLife.

To get the facts, I sought out the man generally considered to be the father of virtual real estate investing: Bryan Ellis of BryanEllis.com.

“I began using the term ‘virtual real estate investing’ in the late 1990’s when I realized the clear similiarities in profit strategies, regardless of whether the “real estate” is “virtual” or “physical” said Ellis.

One example of the parallels between virtual and physical real estate Bryan Ellis cites is the similarity between the monetization of domain names versus physical property. He points out that control of a domain name or even a specific web page is much like controlling a real estate property ” those assets can be monetized in similar ways: By selling them for a profit, by leasing them, by offering advertising, etc.

The similarities really are obvious. Consider: A valuable piece of real estate is valuable largely due to the interest that other people have in that specific location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. So it doesn’t matter if you own physical real estate or virtual real estate - you’ll likely use similar strategies to turn them into money in your pocket.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.
